WEEKLY WEBINARS

The majority of the instruction for Muse Film School is done via twice weekly webinars, Tuesday and Thursday at 1:00 PST. This is where we'll teach the concepts, take questions, and discuss the weekly assignment.

 

FILMMAKING CHALLENGES

Every week you'll be assigned an assignment that comes in two flavors: basic or ninja. The basic assignment applies the concepts covered that week and takes, on average, 2-3 hours to complete. The ninja assignment is available by request, and is an advanced level assignment often taking 5+ hours to complete.

1-on-1 support and feedback

From day one of the program you'll get direct access to your film school team, coaches, and the Muse Team via a private Slack channel.

More than just support, you'll get personalized feedback on every assignment and you'll be challenged to push further and go deeper.


OVERALL TIME COMMITMENTS

Terms 1 and 3 of Muse Film School generally take about 5-8 hours per week, which includes two weekly webinars and the basic assignment.

Term 2, when production starts, can average up to 8-12 hours per week depending on your story location and the role you've been assigned to on your team.

ONE: LEARN THE CORE CONCEPTS

WEEK 1 | Understanding the 4 ingredients that make for a moving film

WEEK 2 | How to find and develop the strongest story elements

WEEK 3 | Understanding plot structure and how to maximize engagement

TWO: FIND, DEVELOP, AND FILM YOUR GROUP PROJECT

WEEK 4 | Research, contact, and pre-interview potential story characters

WEEK 5 | Presentation of top characters and developing the top 2 selections

WEEK 6 | Deciding on the final story and developing the creative

WEEKS 7-11 | Film production is broken down into five blocks of 4 days within each. Every team gets in-the-field technical training and production experience.

WEEK 12 | Developing your brand story (includes a brand audit by the Muse Team)

WEEK 13 | Mastering the client pitch and understanding how to bid properly

WEEK 14 | How to tell your own story and create exceptional client experiences

WEEKS 15 | Film School Graduation and film showcase
